Competitive Analysis
After producing the Vet Portal analysis I was asked to provide an additional analysis of the existing Vet app. I shared my findings as a 'web flow' visual presentation in Miro.
Conclusions I thoroughly enjoyed the process of learning about the Practice Managers experience, analysing the data and thinking carefully how best to present my findings back to the team. The Miro boards were well received and provided valuable reference. |
User Interview, Competitive Research, Analysis & Visual Presentation
An international pet insurance company was in the process of developing the design for a online vet portal and app.
I was asked to assist the Senior Product Manager in performing user research and analysis with one of their existing vet practice customers whilst utilising a competitor product. I conducted User Research by way of a Moderated User Interview with a Vet Practice Manager while carrying out a live 'walk-through' of the portal. I then analysed recordings with screenshots and data collected throughout the interview used to recreate the flow of the portal. I presented this on a Miro board. Corresponding sticky notes provided contextual annotations including recommendations for the preferred design pattern of the user which was then shared with the team for later discussion. Project Goal To uncover needs, goals, behaviours and pain points for vet practice managers, and users, when using existing pet insurance portals and apps, to identifying opportunities for imporving the experience for the development of a new vet portal app. |
